Made In USA - A Win-Win Strategy

Domestic Manufacturing Provides Necessary Stability

Jeff Erbert | 28 December, 2023

Committed to Manufacturing at Home

Earlier this year, TransLogic reaffirmed its commitment to manufacturing pneumatic tube systems in the United States and bolstering support for its Canadian customers.

As 2024 unfolds, TransLogic leaders anticipate that this will be another landmark year for the company and its customers as it continues to champion manufacturing right here in the USA.

The “Made in the USA” Strategy

According to Business Insider, 4 out of 5 US-based corporations have shifted some production back to the US, stressing the importance of supply chain reliability and predictability. It's a strategy that stands to benefit many industries, but it's especially important in healthcare, where market instability can directly impact lives.

Understanding the importance of this need, TransLogic has been maintaining its supply chain and manufacturing operations within the USA for some time now. And like the other companies returning to domestic manufacturing, this move not only intends to continue to improve product quality but also allow for faster distribution and implementation for customers across North America.

Quality, Reliability, and Speed Matter

In a statement published earlier in 2023, Cory Kwarta, President of TransLogic, emphasized: “TransLogic is more than just assembled in the USA; it is made in the USA. This approach streamlines our North American distribution and implementation processes, making them faster, easier, and more cost-effective. Our products now boast higher quality with significantly fewer supply chain issues, ultimately benefiting our customers and their patients.”

This sentiment is echoed in other industries as well. The American Society of Mechanical Engineers writes that there are several benefits to manufacturing goods in North America, including the ability to quickly respond to customer needs, improved quality control, better security, and the ability to accurately estimate costs.

In Healthcare, The Show Must Go On

Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, TransLogic has maintained an impressive 90% on-time delivery rating, thanks to its robust domestic supply chain.

Eric Waski, Senior VP of the TransLogic Technology Center, explained, “While remaining true to our operational roots, we have fine-tuned our long-term objectives and short-term goals to better serve the North American market. This includes a new brand message and design that symbolizes our forward direction.”

Waski continued: “Our operational technology will not only continue to support new construction projects but also modernize existing automation systems, delving even deeper into the internal workflows of each customer.”

Conclusion

With a refined vision for the future, TransLogic is poised to deliver even more strategic leadership, further solidifying its position as a trailblazer and trusted partner in pneumatic tube systems in North America.

As the company gears up for 2024, it is evident that the emphasis on domestic manufacturing and a renewed approach will be instrumental in driving growth, technological advancements, and effective change management, all aimed at supporting customer workflows.

It's a win-win for both TransLogic and its customers.
