HIPAA
As a provider of technology and services to the healthcare industry, Swisslog Healthcare has implemented policies and procedures to address the transaction standards and the privacy and security implications of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 ("HIPAA").
California Transparency in Supply Chains Act Disclosure
The California Transparency in Supply Chains Act of 2010 (SB 657) requires companies that manufacture or sell products in the state of California to provide information regarding their efforts to eradicate slavery and human trafficking from their direct supply chains. The law is designed to increase California consumers’ knowledge about the products they buy and the companies they choose to support. Pursuant to this statutory requirement, Swisslog Healthcare makes the following disclosure regarding verification, audits, certification, internal accountability and training.
Verification
Verification Protocols
Swisslog Healthcare does not engage a third-party monitor to identify and evaluate the potential risks for human trafficking and slavery in our supply chain.
Frequency
Swisslog Healthcare currently does not identify all of our direct suppliers nor does a third-party partner examine relevant information about each supplier or prospective supplier regarding risks and vulnerability to slavery or human trafficking in the production of supplier goods.
Labor Brokers
Swisslog Healthcare is not a member of a Fair Labor Organization nor do we collaborate with others in our industry to track illegal labor recruitment practices.
Audit
Audit Methodology
Swisslog Healthcare currently does not audit our suppliers to determine if they are complying with our company standards aimed at ensuring that human trafficking is not tainting our products.

Swisslog Healthcare does not have any auditing statistics for our suppliers.
Auditor Information
Swisslog Healthcare does not have internal auditors that monitor supplier behavior or compliance, thus, we do not have announced or unannounced investigations today.
Certification
Certification Requirements
To ensure that our contractors and suppliers respect and enforce our company standards, Swisslog Healthcare includes a clause in our commercial agreements governing our contractual relationship with suppliers, which stipulates that our suppliers must abide by our anti-slavery and human trafficking standards. As a condition of doing business with us, and as a means of self-certification, the commercial agreement clause reads: “1) Supplier represents that it complies with all applicable laws and regulations, including eradication of forced, indentured, involuntary or compulsory labor in its facilities, and requires its suppliers, including labor brokers and agencies, to do the same; 2) Supplier represents that its supply chain and materials incorporated into its products comply with national and international laws prohibiting slavery and human trafficking; and 3) Supplier agrees to treat workers with dignity and respect, provide them with a safe work environment, conduct business in compliance with applicable environmental, labor and employment laws, and refrain from corrupt practices and engaging in human rights violations.”
